Therapy Services

Skilled rehabilitative therapy services are offered on the Imboden Creek Health Services campus on a daily basis. Specifically Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy. These services are provided at both Imboden Creek Gardens ~ Assisted Living and Imboden Creek Living Center ~ Skilled Care.

“The service of a Physical Therapist, Speech-Language Pathologist or Occupational Therapist is a skilled therapy service if the inherent complexity of the service is such that it can be performed safely and/or effectively only by or under the general supervision of a skilled therapist. To be covered, the skilled services must also be reasonable and necessary to the treatment of the resident’s illness or injury or to the restoration of maintenance of function affected by the resident’s illness or injury.” - The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)

Physical Therapy aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments and decreased functional ability. This includes providing services to those who have health related conditions, illness or injuries that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities within their environment.

Occupational Therapy is the therapeutic use of self-care, work/productive activities, and play/leisure activities to increase independent function, enhance development, and prevent disability. It includes adapting tasks and the environment to maximize independence and quality of life. The term Occupation refers to activities that are meaningful to the individual within the environments in which the person lives and functions.

Speech-Language Pathology is concerned with issues surrounding speech and language communication disorders and cognitive disorders. Speech therapy also addresses any difficulties a person may have with swallowing food and liquids safely.

The Rehabcare therapy program at Imboden Creek Health Services is focused on returning residents to their optimal level of function through comprehensive, individualized and goal-oriented treatment programs.
